Biography

C FAMOUS has been in the hip hop game ever since she can remember. She was born into a musical family, her father got word of that she was about to arrive while on tour with Whitney Houston, he showed up to the hospital with the entire band causing a disturbance in the quiet Brooklyn Hospital. Charli has been disturbing quiet ever since. Her first step onto the hip-hop stage was while still in elementary school. Then Charli Butler she auditioned for the award winning theater company Tomorrow’s Future, made up of an ensemble of actors, rappers, dancers and singers. By the 7th grade Charli was winning state wide Hip Hop Dance competitions, performing intricate routines and bringing down the house. She maintained top grades, auditioned for and was accepted into New York Repertory Company HS for gifted and talented students. While there, Charli studied dance, drama and music while becoming a professional SAG actress with guest appearances on TV shows like Law and Order, OZ, and NY Undercover.

Charli has always had her own style, after graduating from high school she went on to study fashion at Miami International University for Art and Design. However, as fate would have it, while visiting a recording studio with some friends C Famous was discovered. The story is, studio producers asked her to test the mic, Charli spat a quick 8 bar freestyle that left everybody in the studio speechless. What!!! Can you do that again? She’s been recording ever since. C Famous has something new to say, she’s no video vixen waiting for some man to drape her in furs and diamonds, C Famous makes it clear, she can get her own. C FAMOUS, sexy but classy, young, fun and ready to start the party. C FAMOUS is a girl who does not hesitate to tell it like it is; she just does it with a mic in her hand and some hot tracks! C Famous is filling the void left by the great female mc’s before her, like Eve, Queen Latifah and MC Lyte, She’s not biting her tongue, “there are no females rappin’ for this generation, somebody’s got to do it, I’ll take that responsibility ”. Showmanship is second nature to her, her stage performance is amazing! Now on STACKHOUSE MUSIC, watch out for C FAMOUS in 2009, she’s here to shake things up a bit!
